it is very hard to see friends and family sick, and leaving us behind.

The idea of needing help to function had yet to come to mind. I have entered and exited many decades in what feels like a flash. How disheartening it is to hear a peer who is very ill pray aloud week after week. I whisper, “Please, don’t die. Please, don’t leave us yet.” These sentiments resonate with baby boomers like us.
