One evening, while grading papers, John realized that he wanted more. He wanted to feel a sense of progress, of personal achievement. He started setting small goals for himself. It began with his health; he took up jogging, gradually building up his stamina. He noticed that his mind felt clearer with each run, and his mood improved.
